There's a malfunction somewhere this morning and the Station's forcefield is acting up!
Typically transparent and only noticeable through subtle pulses of energy and an iridescent shimmer, the forcefield spends the day shifting through different colors, patterns, and levels of opacity (occasionally ending up completely opaque and plunging the Station into claustrophobic darkness). At one point, it even begins displaying wildly distorted and unflattering pictures from the employee directory. Yikes. How did those wires get crossed?
But don't worry! Operations and Security are on the case!
While this is fixed by early evening, it leaves plenty of residents annoyed and headachey.

There's a new arrival at Enodia Station today that's hard to miss: she's lean and over seven feet tall with severe features, slicked back brown hair, and large golden eyes with slit pupils. Residents may see her arriving in a sleek black car in the morning, walking around campus throughout the day, or entering Samuel J. Thornton's office for...quite a long time.
Who is she? Who knows!

π₯ Today is the Explorer Division's second Leadership Evaluation! Give it your all!
While in the Riftlands, the division is often divided into units to cover more ground or focus on different missions. While the division itself is always under the leadership of the director (Samuel J. Thornton), each unit needs a field leader and these positions change frequently on the basis of merit. These positions are decided by a three-part assessment that is performed every few months. All members of the Explorer Division, both primary and supplementary, are required to participate, but those from other divisions are also welcome to participate.
The examination includes combat practice, an obstacle course, and a written strategic/leadership assessment. To the chagrin of many, yes, the written section is required.

Residents that spend a lot of time in the Administration Building, the Commercial Center, and the Recreation Center are starting to notice that little odds and ends are being inexplicably moved or going missing. Things like tchotchkes on desks and cash registers, coasters from The Space Between, buttons from the sewing room, and other items. What gives??

A very annoyed Director Darcie Riddle informs select members of the Security Division that a small but important object of personal significance has gone missing from her office in the Administration Building. Despite the room being locked and equipped with sensitive motion-activated cameras. She will snap at anyone that suggests she misplaced said object and will encourage them to take the rumors of recent disappearances seriously. She's got a feeling about this.
Later, residents may notice Director Riddle acting standoffish toward her wife, Signy Ledford, who is a manager in the commissary. Trouble in paradise?

π₯ While it took longer than they'd expected (...look, there's been a lot going on!), Sparrow Freling has finally arranged the first pickup sport event: volleyball! Come show off your serve, your spike, or your cutest short shorts. You know. If that's your thing. There will be refreshments and, according to Sparrow, a twist! But it's all in good fun.
π₯ A routine exploration of the Riftlands takes a turn for the strange when a dense, disorienting mist overcomes the area. Is it too late to use the buddy system??
Back at the Station, Security quickly adjusts the forcefield to keep the mist out while Research and Medical attempt to collect data on the phenomenon.
